The BC Farm Museum participated in the laying of a wreath at the Fort Langley Cenotaph for the Remembrance Day service, 11 November 2017.
Our President, Todd Davidson and his wife Kim, laid a wreath for The BC Farm Museum.
The wreath was kindly donated by Laurie Griffiths, a long time volunteer and Director of The BC Farm Museum.
While a handful of Langley residents have been gathering on Remembrance Day at the cenotaph in the Murrayville cemetery for years, this year,2017, marked the first time an official ceremony was held. Several residents with the encouragement of the Langley Heritage Society and the Township of Langley formed a committee to organize a simple but meaningful service, explained committee chair Rosemary Genberg. It was a very well attended service.
