The BC Farm Museum has the province's largest collection of
pioneer and agricultural artefacts.

Bring the family and celebrate BC Day with us, at the museum!

Join us Sunday, August 3rd and Monday 4th (BC DAY) at the BC Farm Museum in Fort Langley where you can watch the trains and discuss their operation.” Kids love to watch these trains!

Fraser Valley G Scale Friends operate a large portable model train layout where they run garden scale trains using electric and live steam locomotives.  These engines pull a variety of rolling stock such as heavyweight passenger cars; freight, flat, logging, tank, and pipe cars; and unique theme (circus, Christmas) cars.  The locomotives range from CPR Pacifics, CNR Mikados, Pennsylvania K4 Pacifics, shunt engines, logging engines, and diesel combination engines.

We’ll also have our rope making demonstrations, the Dempster Windmill will be operating and pumping water, and our popular “Scavenger Hunt” will be available for families to enjoy.

Admission by donation at the front door – we suggest a donation of $5 per family.

Visit the BC Farm Museum in beautiful Fort Langley, BC. The museum is a place where the past greets the present, through the rich and vibrant stories of the pioneer settlers of the Fraser Valley. Agriculture is indeed alive and well throughout the province, and especially in the Fraser Valley.

While most our lives may not directly reflect the rural roots of previous generations, almost everyone has a story or a memory of rural life. It was not so long ago that 90% of people lived on farms, and not in cities.

Come and see us – share your stories with us – and learn something new about BC and the Fraser Valley. You’ll be glad you did. And please consider becoming a member of the BC Farm Museum. As a small community organization run solely by volunteers, we do appreciate your support and generosity. Click for more info about membership and volunteering.
